Vote for Your Favorite Galleries in the Best of Awards
The Twin Cities Fine Arts Organization (TCFAO) announced the finalists for the first ever Best of Awards. The awards recognize outstanding work in the arts from among the more than fifty TCFAO member organizations. The winners will be announced at the close of the Art on the Town ten-day event. Voting ends noon CST October 14th, 2011.

Hopkins Center for the Arts presents a year-round calendar of exhibitions in two galleries, the Charles D. Redepenning Gallery and the two-level Lobby Gallery. The 14 exhibitions per year showcase local and regional artists working in a variety of media. In addition, the Hopkins School District mounts two to three exhibitions a year featuring both student and faculty work, and the Friends of Hopkins Center for the Arts presents an annual fine art and craft fair. The Center, along with its partners, serves more than 210,000 visitors each year.
Hours: Mon–Fri 8 a.m.–8 p.m.; Sat 10 a.m.–8 p.m.; Sun 12–5 p.m. (may be closed on some
national holidays).

Homewood Studios, an artists’ workspace and gallery/meeting space in North Minneapolis, is designed for local artists and their neighbors in the belief that the visible presence of working artists contributes to the vitality, self-image and coherence of the community. Gallery shows change every three to four weeks. Other events and services include music concerts, a writers group and Tai Chi classes plus occasional workshops by exhibiting artists.
Hours: Tue 5–9 p.m.; Wed, Thu 1–6 p.m.; Sat 1–4 p.m. and by appointment.
